Assault and batteries

I've been noticing many more aggressively-driven Toyota Priuses in London these days and I find them exceptionally annoying.
Only last night I was attacked by three of them.
One was a Barger, tailgating me and nipping inside and cutting me up without a trace of courtesy or respect, then doing the same to other drivers, only inches from their rear bumpers.
The next was a Lane Nipper, zapping one way and the other from lane to lane but not making up any ground.
And the third was just a f***wit, powering down the wrong side of the road for about 200 yards before barging across and blocking a pedestrian crossing, then waving some sort of apology as if that made it okay. He then sped off into the distance, cutting people up at every opportunity.
If these people are truly environmentally aware, as their choice of car seems to indicate, surely they'd be using a fairly gentle right foot and keeping emissions and fuel use down and not nailing the throttle everywhere like the three complete idiots I saw last night?
Please don't drive your Prius like that. Drive it smoothly and reasonably slowly, otherwise I will inform the police and have you put in jail for almost untenable annoyance. And hypocrisy.
Anyone else noticed the rise of the angry Prius?

Not to say aggressively, but one flashed past me doing at least 85 last week - that couldn't have been doing much for his environmental impact...
I live in America. On my way home from work one day, I was doing a brisk 75-80mph down I-495 in Delaware, when a Prius passed me like I was standing still. He had to be doing well over 100mph. I think he had a TRD sticker on his rear windshield, must have added a few extra batteries.
I guess that they're just angry because they bought an ugly electric car that is not even as green in the long run as a much sexier, smaller and more fun car, like a Mini.
You sound surprised - why? The qualities of a car are rarely a reflection of the driver thereof. The Prius is very much the driving choice of the modern car owner who wishes to appear trendy - key word being 'appear'. Just look at the Hollywood circuit - do so many media-hungry types drive hybrids because they actually give a toss about the environment, or it because simply by mentioning the H word in press releases they seem vaguely compassionate?
If I had to drive one of those pieces of s**t all day, I would be fairly angry too.
This was inevitable.
The first generation of pious buyers were the weak-minded who had been guilt-tripped into it by the constant media hype to ensure no pandas died as they drove along.
Now, thanks to draconian laws and tax brakes, people are being forced into them as company cars.
So there is Mondeo man in a car he doesn't want and often hates. He treats the car and other road users with equal contempt, often in the hope that he can inject some excitement into his journey by having a crash.
It's the attack of the greens, trying to run us 'evil' motorists off the road.
It's either that, or they've realised that there is NO good thing in favour of a Prius - they're not economical (worse than diesels. Even some petrols are better), and since it's nowhere near sporty, they're angry because like with everyone, their car matches the driver - that is, the car is pathetic.
Still, look on the bright side - at least it wasn't a G-Wiz. But then it's physically impossible to drive a G-Wiz in an unsafe manner anyway, bar driving up the wrong side of the motorway in the third lane...
